Monument to Caltanissetta – Triton Fountain

A monument in Caltanissetta is located in the center of the main square and is the Triton Fountain created by the sculptor Michele Caltanissetta Tripisciano (which it is also a museum dedicated). The fountain was designed in 1890, in his studio in Rome, with the intent to place it in Piazza Ferdinandea (now Piazza Garibaldi) because the love of his hometown remained unconditional. The artist was inspired by another work like that had made the square of Marino, near Rome.
