Monument to Messina – Fallen Battery Masotto

A monument in Messina, very important, is that of the Fallen Battery Masotto at the Battle of Adwa in 1896, which it was created by sculptor Salvatore Buemi.
The bronze sculpture depicts three soldiers in war placed on a square base where you are placed in the plates with the names of the officers and soldiers who died in that battle, also at the sides of the monument are the guns of the batteries recovered by soldiers.
Finally, every year it organizes a demonstration commemorating, in which it is placed a laurel wreath at the foot of the monument, from the 24th Artillery Regiment Peloritans, with the participation of the Band of the Brigade of Aosta.
