Museo a Caltanissetta - Palazzo Moncada

Moncada Palace, located on Corso Umberto I, is a magnificent museum in Caltanissetta, built in 1651 to replace the previous residence of the Moncada family. Due to its large size, many houses in the neighborhood were demolished for the construction of the palace.

The structure is characterized by a very long balcony and beautiful frames that outline the windows and external doors. Over the years, it has undergone numerous restorations and is now used as a venue for exhibitions, cultural events, and concerts.

Currently, it serves as a Civic Gallery of modern art, which houses, among other things, a rich collection of sculptures by Michele Tripisciano.
