A very interesting museum in Marianopoli is the one focused on Peasant Civilization, dedicated to the revered memory of Father Benvenga, which gathers various documents and historical artifacts tracing the lives of Marianopolitans in ancient times.
The purpose of this place of great culture is dictated by the inhabitants’ desire not to forget their roots. Among household tools and utensils, wooden and iron plows of various sizes, agricultural machinery from the 1950s and 1960s, and ethnographic collections, the cycles of rural life in cereal cultivation, baking, sheep farming, sheep breeding, and viticulture are retraced.
