A typical product of Montedoro is the Mbriulata, a sweet from popular tradition prepared with the following ingredients:

  • 1kg of flour,
  • water as needed,
  • a cube of yeast.

Knead the dough until it is homogeneous and firm, then let it rest for about an hour. Meanwhile, sauté chopped onion, parsley, and 500g of minced beef and pork. Optionally, add mushrooms and roasted potatoes. Roll out the dough into a very thin sheet and spread the filling evenly. Carefully roll everything up, ensuring that the dough is well oiled. Fold and bring together the ends of the roll to form a wreath shape. Bake and cook for about three-quarters of an hour.
